Coptic Orphans earns its 9th consecutive 4-star rating, the highest awarded by Charity Navigator, and an honor earned by only 3% of the charities they evaluate. The rating comes in recognition of Coptic Orphans’ transparency and accountability. See the press release here.
The United Nations grants Coptic Orphans consultative status with its Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). This is the highest status granted by the UN to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and allows Coptic Orphans to participate in the work of the United Nations. More details here.

The United Nations Association of the National Capital Area Awards executive director Nermien Riad the Community Human Rights Award for the work of Coptic Orphans.
Coptic Orphans awarded as a runner up in the NPower Technology Innovation Award sponsored by Accenture.
Coptic Orphans Awarded Honorable Mention in the Washington Post Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management. With the honorable mention comes a grant for $2,500 to be used for organizational capacity building in our Washington DC office.

The Truman Award for Leadership and Innovation from the Society for International Development – Washington (SID-W) was awarded to Coptic Orphans program manager Phoebe Farag, for her work on the Valuable Girl Project. Bob Berg of the Truman Foundation and Alina Zyskowski, executive director of SID-W presented the award at the “Development Works” conference.
Coptic Orphans was awarded the Spirit of Hope Award from The Children’s Fund for our contribution of to the betterment of children.
