Coptic Orphans recently published a response to Egyptian media report that the Egyptian government had effectively denied permission for us to operate as an international NGO in Egypt.
A representative of the Egyptian government recently clarified:
we have made no official announcement about which applications have been rejected.
Was the announcement to Egypt’s Middle East News Agency a premature statement before the government made its final decisions?
Please pray. If the prayer of a simple man once literally moved mountains in Egypt, then our prayer can move the hearts of the authorities in Egypt to grant full permission for our work among the orphaned families of Egypt.
Let’s pray that the government will approve our application.
In the meanwhile, the work of Coptic Orphans has continued in Egypt uninterrupted thanks to the dedication of so many church-based volunteers there.
